Identity & History

What Securechain Labs represents, how it relates to SecureCoin (SRC), and a timeline — SRC since 2013, Securechain Labs since 2015.

Securechain Labs is the maintainer identity and software namespace for legacy open-source blockchain infrastructure related to SecureCoin (SRC). Since 2015, Securechain Labs has cared for wallet software, the block explorer, and related references. The name also refers to the securechain.com domain and the securechain GitHub organization. Securechain Labs is not a cryptocurrency or token issuer.

SecureCoin (SRC) is the open-source digital currency launched in August 2013. Its earliest public website was securecoin.org. Technical specifications, wallet documentation, network status, and trademark statements for SRC are published on the official archive at securecoin.org only.

What securechain.com is for today

This domain is the official home of Securechain Labs. It publishes cryptographic research notes, project history, and pointers to open-source legacy references. It does not replace the SecureCoin (SRC) archive and we do not issue cryptocurrency tokens.

Naming

Over the years, software was sometimes distributed under the Securechain name (for example, Securechain Wallet on GitHub) while the underlying project is SecureCoin (SRC). Product naming is being aligned on securecoin.org; repository names on GitHub may retain legacy labels.
